Albertine Translation

In 2022, the Book Department of the newly launched Villa Albertine – is proud to reveal the Albertine Translation Fund & Prizes, a new and enhanced version of The French Voices Awards. The Albertine Translation Fund & Prize recognizes the quality of both the original work and the translation. Grants go to books representing new trends in fiction and graphic novels and important points of view in non-fiction.

Etant donnés Contemporary Art aims to strengthen ties between France and the U.S. in the field of contemporary art by fostering active collaboration and encouraging long-lasting partnerships between French visual artists, curators, and collectives and American curators and cultural institutions. The fund supports the discovery of emerging talents, while also sustaining interest in established artists.

The French Dual Language Fund aims to expand and strengthen existing French dual language education programs throughout the country, and support the launch of new programs.

French Heritage Language Program - Je parle français

The French Dual Language Program provides high-quality bilingual education to children in public schools across New York City. Currently, 1,300 students are served by this program but the need is far greater with 22,000 children living in French-speaking homes with little or no access to education in French.

FACE Foundation and the French Embassy’s education division is creating a Multi-State Pathway to Accreditation, a program that helps those with a strong mastery of French enter into the teaching profession with fewer obstacles and blockages than obtaining a traditional teaching license.

The Community College in France Program seeks to identify promising students from underrepresented groups —who will then become “Ambassadors of France”— and offer them transformative educational experiences that promote the sharing of knowledge and know-how between France and the US.
