The French-American Jazz Exchange (FAJE) celebrates the United States and France’s shared passion for jazz. A program of FACE Foundation and Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, in collaboration with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, FAJE is designed to foster the creative and professional development of jazz artists from France and the United States. FUSED: French U.S. Exchange in Dance (FUSED) fosters dialogue, strengthens professional relationships, and sparks creative artistry through cultural exchanges by introducing choreographers and performers whose works had never or rarely been seen in the partner country. More info.

French Voices
 

New Music Fund
 


French Voices recognize both the original work and the quality of the translation. A committee of independent professional experts selects works epitomizing the many facets of a vibrant French literary scene. Awards go to books representing new trends in fiction, or graphic novels and underrepresented perspectives or points of view in non-fiction. More info.

 

 
The New Music Fund (formerly Fund for Contemporary Music) encourage new commissions, residencies, masterclasses, performances and tours involving contemporary composers, musicians and ensembles.

Tournées Film Festival aims to bring French cinema to American colleges and university campuses. Our objective in providing nearly $200,000 in Tournées Film Festival grants every year is to fund festival endeavors that can eventually become permanent and self-sustaining. More info.

Films on the Green

Creative Lab
 

Films on the Green is an annual, free, outdoor film festival in New York City organized by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, the City of New York Parks & Recreation, and FACE Foundation. More info.
 


A creative and economic development program for startups from the cultural sector, the French-American Creative Lab enables French entrepreneurs to adapt their products to the American market. Through workshops, conferences, networking events and business meetings, the Creative Lab provides participants access to new ecosystems and leaders of the local creative and tech industries. French Immersion
 

Kids Trail
 

French Immersion will bring French creators or producers to the US on the occasion of a screening or presentation of their work during a significant festival or program identified by the Cultural Services team. More info.

 

 

Designed as a yearlong artistic journey, Kids Trail offers children and adults the opportunity to explore French arts and culture through a variety of disciplines: cinema, theater, design, dance, visual arts, philosophy, music and literature. More info.



Night of Philosophy
& Ideas
 

Oui Design
 


A Night of Philosphy and Ideas is an all-night marathon of philosophical debate, performances, screenings, readings, and music. Join us and be a part of this free-12 hour exchange of ideas, featuring top philosophers from around the world.

Oui Design has been developed by the Cultural Services of the French Embassyand its partner foundation FACE, in order to foster creative exchange in design between France and the U.S. Launched in 2016, it is the first program initiated by the French Embassy to support fruitful and durable partnerships between design professionals on both sides of the Atlantic. French Dual
Language Program
 

The French Dual Language Fund aims to expand and strengthen existing French dual language education programs throughout the country, and support the launch of new programs. More info.



The French Dual Language Program provides high-quality bilingual education to children in public schools across New York City. Currently 1,300 students are served by this program but the need is far greater with 22,000 children living in French-speaking homes with little or no access to education in French. More info.

 



French Heritage

The French Heritage Language Program is an education program created to help francophone immigrants and young Americans with francophone background to maintain their linguistic and cultural heritage. For more than 11 years now, it has been dedicated to supporting underserved French-speaking youths making French an asset for new Americans. More info.

  

   


Research & Higher Education Funds


Partner University Fund
 

Thomas Jefferson Fund
 

Established in 2007 as a collaboration between the French government, American private donors and the FACE Foundation, the Partner University Fund is dedicated to amplifying the potential of the brightest French and American scholars by supporting educational and research partnerships between higher education institutions in both countries.

Launched in 2017, the Thomas Jefferson Fund supports new collaborations and the most innovative projects between promising young researchers in France and the United States. The Thomas Jefferson Fund aims to foster forward-looking collaborative research in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and of Science for Society that addresses the most pressing global challenges.
